Earth > North America > United States > Missouri > 417-land > and that’s where it gets fuzzy.
Chris and I moved from Nixa into Springfield in 2011. After six years in the suburbs, we finally accepted that the suburbs were not for us. We have long felt a tug on our hearts to be a part of the Downtown SGF culture, to patron the businesses there, and to build relationships with the people for the purpose of sharing our lives and sharing the gospel.
I was born and raised in Clinton, a little town in west central Missouri that’s almost exactly halfway between Springfield and Kansas City. It’s population is just under 10,000, but it boasts all of the major fast food restaurants and a Walmart. Beyond that, it is the home of Missouri’s largest town square, Chinese Checkers, and the western trailhead of the Katy Trail. Oh, and it used to be the Baby Chick Capital of the World. Most of my immediate family still lives in Clinton, so the family and I return there several times a year.
