Love You Like a Love Song {music}

I love winter. I really do. Fires in the fireplace. Snuggling under blankets. Crochet projects while watching movies. Comfort foods like Santa Fe soup, chili, and ham ‘n’ beans. But just like the next person, I struggle with my motivation to run during the winter. Even with the onset of the New Year and resolutions it brings, I need a little something extra to keep me going. And what keeps me going? Pop music straight from the radio. Dig out your iPods; here’s January’s playlist:

  1. Sexy & I Know It” by LMFAO
  2. We Found Love” by Rihanna
  3. Good Feeling” by Flo Rida
  4. Moves Like Jagger” by Maroon 5
  5. Domino” by Jessie J
  6. Love You Like a Love Song” by Selena Gomez* & The Scene
  7. You Make Me Feel” by Cobra Starship
  8. I Like It Like That” by Hot Chelle Rae
  9. Blackout” by Breathe Carolina
  10. Dog Days Are Over” by Florence + the Machine
  11. Bonus Bon Jovi Song: It’s My Life
* I apologize a bit for the Selena Gomez song. Something deep within is me is vehemently opposed to listening to music from people who are too young to drink, but sometimes they put out some excellent — or at least catchy — songs. I can’t help myself. 🙂

  1. I just favorited this post so I can refer back to it to find these songs. I hate to admit that I rarely listen to the radio, and never use my ipod. I think some music will definitely help my treadmill miles on dreary days.

    • I have to be in the right frame of mind to listen to music when I run. That, and I’m probably too conscious of my safety while I run, which prevents me from running with headphones, too. Glad you enjoyed the playlist!

  2. Woo hoo! I love a good playlist. This looks a lot like what I’ve been listening to lately – but I’m really loving Good Feeling by Flo Rida too. I also really like the mixes from rockmyrun.com
