I’m a glutton for punishment, and the trauma to my backside snowballed as yesterday went on:
- YMCA Class Yesterday Morning. Heather Myer offered me one of her Y guest passes yesterday morning, and we took a class together. The class was mostly a series of lunges, squats, and medicine-ball shoulder lifts.
- Bowling for Andrea. Last night, I went bowling with a group of my friends in celebration of my friend Andrea’s birthday. Since I rarely bowl and since bowling is also a lunging activity, that worked out my bum again for the day.
- 30 Seconds of Mayhem. As Chris and I were leaving for bowling last night, Chris almost backed out of the garage with the garage door down. I was standing on the step to the house when this happened, and as I was laughing at him, I leaned against the door to the house, which was not latched and which caught me off guard. As I turned to close the door, I slipped on the step and fell, hitting my bum first on the step and then on the floor.
Needless to say, I’m a bit tender today, but I’m in good spirits. Let’s hope nothing else traumatic happens to my backside for the rest of the week!
